* Google is the one king of all search engines. Websites gets most of their traffic through Google search engine, so ranking higher in Google search is utterly important for a website to maintain a good traffic. It's not enough to get a website develop and host it on the web server to rank in Google search. There are many factors which determines which page should rank up in Google Search. Today we'll explore what are the major factor which determine a good ranking in Google search.

* People usually ask me that how should we position our website to rank higher in Google search and earn more through our website and i end up with a reply that make your foundation strong, means start your SEO project from basics, so today we'll discuss that what are the basics that we must follow while doing Search Engine Optimization for our website.

* There are four factors which determines a good rank in Google search results, these are

* Frequency.
* Location.
* Click Through.
* Linked.

1) Frequency =  Frequency refers here that how many time a word or phrase, which has been searched in Google search engine is repeated on a particular page, if a page is having the same phrase/keyword repeated a good number of time Google rank it higher.
But make sure it should be repeated in a decent way otherwise Google will consider it keyword spamming and will rank your site poorly or will take your website out of search result.

2) Location = Google search engine rank the webpage after crawling the whole page, it visits billions of webpages daily and store it's information on their database for displaying the results in Google search. When a person search for an information on Google and put a phrase or keyword, the chances of a webpage increases to rank higher which is having the exact key word on it on a higher position, means a page which is having the exact keyword in the title tag will rank higher compare to the webpage which is having that keyword somewhere in between of the page content. Location is one of the major factor in "on page optimization".

3) Click Through = One last element that might determine how your site ranks against others in a search is the number of click-troughs your site has versus click-troughs for other pages that are shown in page rankings. This is called dynamic ranking, because of this, position of a website changes everyday in Google search.

4) Links = Link building is most important practice to rank higher in Google search results. Links can be internal or external. Google loves both one-way and reciprocal links. Pages should be linked internally in such a way that they should serve their purpose and one website should have outbound links from trusted sites to rank higher in Google search. Link submission in directories like Dmoz, yahoo etc, Article submission in site like Ezine Article, Press release, Social bookmarking are good practices to rank well in Google search results. i will discuss link building process in details in my coming posts.
